Half (1/2) Pork Share Deposit
HALF (½) Shares are $5.95/lb dressed weight*, butcher fees not included. Total balance is determined after harvest at which time an invoice will be provided. Balance is due at pickup. Payment options are available (send monthly or bi-weekly payments towards your balance leading up to the butcher date - please call/text or email us for details once you’ve reserved your share)
Our pigs have access to pasture, wooded areas for foraging and grain sourced from local farmers.
Pork is sent to butcher in March, May, July, September, November. Please indicate which month you would like.
Pork share turnaround: fresh meats typically return from butcher within 2 weeks. Any smoked meats (ham or bacon) takes 3-4 weeks from butcher date. Typically 1 month turnaround for all meats (ex. if you reserve a March share, all of your meat will be ready for pickup late March/early April)
All Pork Shares must be picked up in person from our farm in NJ, sorry no shipping available.
If you would like a whole pig, increase the amount at checkout to two (2) half shares and you will get a whole pig instead.
*Dressed weight: the weight of an animal after it has been partially butchered, but before it is further processed or trimmed AKA carcass weight). Your deposit is applied towards the total balance once the animal is weighed post harvest. Dressed weights for ½ shares are between 175-250 lbs (whole pig weights vary 325-475 lbs)
